Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that Germany delivered a new launcher of the IRIS-T anti-aircraft missile system to Ukraine.
He made the announcement on his social media accounts: "Yesterday we received a new IRIS-T launcher. We thank Germany for its continued contribution to the defense of our people. Thanks to such strong support, we have been able to save thousands of lives. However, we need more missiles for air defense systems to have sufficient capabilities to repel Russian attacks."
It is worth noting that the IRIS-T is a modern air defense missile system designed to destroy aircraft, helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles, and cruise missiles. The system is produced by the German company Diehl Defense.
