Germany will deploy Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems in southeastern Turkey.
According to Oxu.Az, the Berliner Zeitung reported this citing a statement from the German Defense Ministry.
The ministry said that Patriot systems and about 150 German soldiers will be stationed in Turkey from late June to September.
It was noted that this step is related to the situation around Iran.
Earlier, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated that his country is ready to participate in ensuring the safety of shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, including through military means.
