Google to Pay Record Fine in Sweden

A Swedish court has ordered Google to pay 14.3 billion kronor ($1.47 billion) in damages to PriceRunner.

The Patent and Market Court ruled that Google violated antitrust laws by giving preference to its own comparison shopping service.

PriceRunner initially demanded 77 billion kronor in 2022. The court partially granted the claim, calling this the largest antitrust compensation in Swedish history.
