The United Arab Emirates (UAE) tried to persuade Saudi Arabia and Qatar to take joint military action against Iran, but failed.

According to Oxu.Az, Bloomberd reported this.

After US and Israeli strikes on Iran in late February, UAE leader Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan called Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and other regional leaders to form a unified position.

Although the UAE saw joint steps as necessary to deter Iran, Gulf states stressed the conflict was not their concern. The tension has negatively impacted UAE-Saudi relations.

As a result, the UAE decided to take limited unilateral actions against Iran.

The situation has deepened rifts among Gulf Cooperation Council members, and attacks on energy facilities have further undermined regional stability.
