Berkant Acil, brother of famous Turkish singer Haluk Levent, arrested in corruption probe related to Şile Municipality.

Istanbul Anatolian Republic Prosecutor's Office has conducted a new operation as part of an investigation into Şile Municipality.

According to Oxu.Az, 17 suspects were detained. Of these, 13 were arrested, and four were released under judicial control.

The suspects face charges including "establishing a criminal organization," "bribery," "extortion," and "tender fraud."

Among those arrested is Berkant Acil, the brother of famous Turkish singer Haluk Levent. By court order, he has been sent to prison.
