Hamas confirms death of military wing leader Mohammad Oda in Gaza explosion along with his family.

The Palestinian movement Hamas has officially confirmed the death of Mohammad Oda, the leader of its military wing.

According to Oxu.Az, Al Jazeera reported this citing a Hamas statement.

The statement noted that Mohammad Oda, his wife, and two children were killed in an explosion in a building in Gaza City.

Earlier, the Israel Defense Forces had announced that Mohammad Oda, who oversaw the military wing and intelligence structures, was killed.

Israel says the operation was part of strikes against Hamas leadership and accuses him of organizing attacks and hostage-taking.
