On July 2, Ukraine's capital Kyiv was hit by massive missile and drone attacks.
Ballistic missiles caused severe damage in central districts including Pechersk. July 3 was declared a day of mourning in Kyiv.
Dnepropetrovsk, Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions were also attacked. Russia launched about 600 drones and nearly 60 ballistic missiles. Ukraine's Armed Forces said most were intercepted.
A survivor told Baku TV: "We were sleeping when the attack began. Missiles flew one after another, explosions erupted. I miraculously reached the hallway. Firefighters rescued me. I didn't believe I would survive, but I'm alive."
Latest reports say nearly 20 people died and hundreds were injured.
