South Korean automaker Hyundai Motor is recalling over 421,000 vehicles in the U.S. due to a software error.
The defect can cause sudden and unexpected braking.
The recall affects certain 2025-2026 models: Santa Cruz, Tucson, Tucson Hybrid, and Tucson Plug-In Hybrid Electric.
Faulty software in the front cameras may activate brakes prematurely, increasing crash risk. Dealers will provide free software updates.
Earlier this week, Hyundai recalled over 54,000 vehicles due to fire risk from hybrid system overheating.
