The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) eliminated a commander of the Palestinian radical group Islamic Jihad in a strike in the Gaza Strip.
According to Oxu.Az, the IDF's press service issued an official statement.
"The commander of the Islamic Jihad terrorist group, Talal Jaber Abd al-Aal, was killed by Israeli forces. He infiltrated Israeli territory during the October 7 massacre in 2023 and was involved in holding hostages," the statement said.
The press service added that prior to the operation, precautionary measures were taken to minimize potential harm to civilians.
