The informal summits of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) have become a platform strengthening trust in the Turkic world. The next summit on May 15 in Kazakhstan will mark the announcement of digital unity.

The theme of artificial intelligence and digital development is no coincidence. It is the logical result of strategic steps taken years ago.

The OTS was founded as the Turkic Council in 2009 in Nakhchivan. In 2021, the Istanbul summit established the OTS.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's independent policy played a key role in shaping the OTS. An emergency summit was held in 2020.

The first informal summit in Shusha in 2024 symbolized Turkic unity, sealing the new geopolitical reality after Azerbaijan's victory.

The May 15 Turkistan summit focuses on AI and digital development. Azerbaijan's "AI Strategy 2025-28" is making it a smart hub in the region.

2026 marks the centennial of the First Turkology Congress. Common alphabet and digital compatibility are under discussion.

The OTS ensures the security of the Middle Corridor. Under Aliyev's leadership, Azerbaijan has become a transit center.
