Since the US military began a naval blockade around Iran, 78 commercial ships have changed their routes.

According to CENTCOM's post on X, 78 commercial vessels were diverted, and four ships were deactivated to enforce the blockade.

The US military launched the blockade on April 13, aiming to intercept all vessels moving towards or attempting to leave Iranian ports.

Iran's UN envoy Amir Saeid Iravani accused the US of "piracy" and "terrorism," stating that Washington acts like pirates by seizing commercial ships and detaining crews.
