Iran has declared that US and Israeli military bases in the region are now considered "legitimate targets."

According to Oxu.Az citing TASS, this statement was made by Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.

Ghalibaf said the ongoing naval blockade and new Israeli attacks on Lebanon provide grounds for Iran's Armed Forces to launch retaliatory strikes.

He stated that the actions of the US and Israel show they understand no language other than "the language of force."

"The naval blockade and the US green light for attacks on Lebanon turn US and Israeli bases and assets in the region into legitimate targets," Ghalibaf emphasized.

He also accused the US and Israel of escalating tensions in the Middle East.

According to the Lebanese Health Ministry, at least two people were killed and 11 injured in strikes on southern Beirut. Local sources reported that residential buildings were targeted.
