Iran is suspected of deploying its military and civilian aircraft to Pakistan and Afghanistan to protect them from potential US strikes.

According to Oxu.Az, CBS News has reported on this development.

CBS News, citing sources, says Iranian military aircraft were moved to Pakistan's Nur Khan Air Base, southwest of Islamabad. A modified RC-130 reconnaissance plane was also sent to the same base.

Shortly before hostilities began, Iran's Mahan Air diverted several planes to Kabul. After Iran closed its airspace, these planes remained there. However, due to armed clashes between Pakistan and Afghanistan, the planes were soon moved to Herat airport near the Iranian border.

Despite the reports, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid denied the allegations in an interview with CBS News.
