Tehran has responded to US President Donald Trump's threats that "if the Strait of Hormuz is closed again, we will occupy the rest of Iran."
According to Oxu.Az, the head of Iran's National Security Commission, Ibrahim Azizi, stated on social media: "You threaten, we act."
He emphasized that the strait is Iran's sovereign waters: "The Strait of Hormuz is not your personal casino or the 'backyard' of modern pirates. It is Iran's sovereign waters."
Recall that after peace talks, Tehran agreed to extend the ceasefire and lifted the blockade. However, IRGC closed the strait again in response to Israeli strikes on Lebanon.
Trump warned Iran of consequences: "If you close the strait, you won't have a country." Negotiations continue, but Iran's delegation suspended talks after Trump's statements.
