Iran has proposed that the US pay compensation in exchange for opening the Strait of Hormuz.
According to Oxu.Az, citing diplomatic sources, Al Arabiya reported this information.
Iran presented two proposals to Pakistan, which is mediating indirect negotiations with the US. One proposal involves opening the Strait of Hormuz, while the other concerns discussing sanctions and frozen assets before any future agreement.
Earlier, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baqai stated that at the current stage, negotiations with the US will not cover the nuclear program or the lifting of sanctions.
