Iran has threatened the US with delaying negotiations. According to Oxu.Az, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf issued a statement on X.

He warned that if Israeli attacks on Lebanon continue, they will not only stop the negotiation process but also engage in direct confrontation with the enemy.

According to Axios, on May 28, delegations from Washington and Tehran agreed on a memorandum for a 60-day ceasefire and discussions on the nuclear program. The final document awaits approval from the US president and Iranian leadership.

The agreement includes opening the Strait of Hormuz. Tehran must clear the maritime corridor of mines within 30 days. In return, the US has committed to lifting the blockade in parallel with restoring navigation, discussing sanctions relief, and releasing frozen Iranian assets.
