Iran's foreign minister urged BRICS nations on Thursday to condemn what he called violations of international law by the United States and Israel.
Abbas Araqchi accused the UAE of direct involvement in military operations against Iran. He said Iran is a "victim of illegal expansionism and warmongering."
Araqchi called on the BRICS+ grouping to resist "Western hegemony." India, as BRICS chair for 2026, is heavily affected by the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
On Wednesday, an Indian-flagged vessel sank off Oman after an explosion. India did not specify the nature of the attack.
