Iran has warned that oil prices could reach $200 per barrel in response to US attacks.
Brigadier General Ibrahim Zolfaghari, a spokesman for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, posted on X: "American leadership has repeatedly proven that it only understands the language of force. Prepare for oil at $200."
He stressed that no agreement is possible as long as the US continues its military adventures in the Middle East and near Iran's borders.
Earlier, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed strikes on Iranian missile positions and boats. Two Iranian boats were reportedly detected laying mines in the Strait of Hormuz.
