Iran's ambassador to Japan, Peyman Saadat, has issued a stark warning to the United States. He stated that if Washington continues its pressure, oil prices could soar to $200 per barrel.

In an interview with TASS, the diplomat said: "If they continue this behavior, we will naturally respond. The price of oil could rise to between $150 and $200."

Saadat emphasized that the US operates in Iran's region, while Iran is only defending itself.
