The deputy representative of the supreme leader in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy, Rear Admiral Mohammad Akbarzadeh, was killed in a road accident in southeastern Iran.

According to Oxu.Az, citing Iran's IRIB state broadcaster, the vehicle carrying the military official overturned on a road in Kerman province.

Rear Admiral was rushed to a hospital but died from his injuries.
