Iran has developed a new mechanism to regulate vessel traffic in the Strait of Hormuz.
The head of Iran's National Security Commission, Ebrahim Azizi, announced this on social media.
The new system will prioritize commercial ships and vessels cooperating with Iran.
Ships participating in the US-led "Freedom" project will be barred from using this route.
