A US MQ1 drone violated Iran's airspace over its territorial waters. Air defense forces shot down the drone.
According to Oxu.Az citing Tasnim agency, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a statement.
"Early this morning, a US MQ1 drone intruded into Iran's territorial waters for a hostile operation and was immediately detected and shot down by IRGC's modern air defense systems," the statement said.
The IRGC stated that Iran's airspace over territorial waters is fully under control and any violation will be met with a decisive response.
