The Israeli military has dismantled a vast underground network in northern Gaza, destroying 14 kilometers of tunnels and eliminating over 70 Hamas operatives.
According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the operation was led by the 252nd Division, with troops from the Northern Brigade and the elite Yahalom unit working together. The focus was on the Beit Hanoun area, east of the "Yellow Line" — a new security boundary established by Israel.
The tunnels contained living quarters and a large weapons cache. Hamas used these tunnels for planning and launching attacks against Israeli forces.
The IDF stated that operations continue to destroy remaining terrorist infrastructure. This is one of the largest underground clearance missions in recent months.
