Jamaica experienced a nationwide power outage due to a system fault.

According to Oxu.Az, the country's Minister of Energy, Telecommunications and Transport, Daryl Vaz, announced this on his social media account.

Shortly after the minister's post, information emerged that measures were being taken to gradually restore power supply according to a predetermined plan.

The local energy authority has not yet provided additional details about the cause of the fault or the timeline for full restoration of electricity.
