The United States and Japan have agreed to jointly invest in artificial intelligence research. Over the next five years, they will allocate one billion dollars to this effort.
Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary Minoru Kihara announced the strategic partnership, which aims to integrate AI programs in the scientific field. The collaboration will support large-scale joint research projects.
Kihara emphasized that the partnership will also strengthen ties in biotechnology, quantum information science, advanced materials, and nuclear fusion technology. This investment will enhance computational resources and mutual access to computing power.
