Iran has launched at least four kamikaze drones to attack ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
US President Donald Trump announced this in a post on the Truth Social platform.
"One unmanned aerial vehicle hit the upper deck of a large and very expensive cargo ship. Although the ship was damaged, it continued its route. The other three drones were shot down by US military forces.
It is clear that this is a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement," Trump said.
Earlier, Iran's state radio and television company reported that three foreign tankers attempted to pass through the Strait of Hormuz without Tehran's permission.
According to the report, the tankers were intercepted by the Iranian Navy and forced to change course. They tried to cross using the southern corridor but turned back to the Persian Gulf after warnings.
