Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbayev announced that insurance payouts will be made to the families of those killed in the crash of the AZAL plane near Aktau. At a briefing, he stated that some of the six Kazakh citizens have already received payments, while in some cases the matter is in court.
Bozumbayev noted that payouts will be primarily handled by Azerbaijani and Russian insurance companies. He said that all passengers, regardless of nationality, will receive the same compensation.
Recall that on December 25, 2024, an AZAL plane flying from Baku to Grozny crashed near Aktau. There were 67 people on board, and 29 survived.
