Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has ordered that weapons-grade enriched uranium must not leave the country.

According to Reuters, citing two high-ranking Iranian sources, Khamenei instructed that uranium enriched up to 60% remain under Iran's control.

This move signals a hardening of Tehran's stance in negotiations with the US to end the war.

Sources say they are aware of US President Donald Trump's demand that all enriched uranium be removed from Iran as a condition for ending the war. Tehran believes complying would make Iran more vulnerable to future US or Israeli attacks.
