Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a phone conversation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
According to Oxu.Az citing Kommersant, Lavrov informed the Secretary of State that the Russian Armed Forces will begin "systematic and consistent strikes" on targets in Kyiv.
Lavrov emphasized that the Russian Foreign Ministry has recommended other countries evacuate their citizens from Kyiv. He stated that the authorities of Ukraine and European countries are undermining the agreements reached between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump in Anchorage in August 2025.
Lavrov and Rubio also confirmed their intention to normalize the working conditions of diplomatic missions located in each other's territories. Additionally, they discussed the crisis in the Strait of Hormuz and the situation around Cuba.
