A man in the US has been sentenced to 40 years for killing his ex-girlfriend 25 years ago and hiding her body under his bedroom floor.
Kimberly Langwell, 34, went missing in July 1999 in Beaumont, Texas. Her car was found in a pharmacy parking lot with her phone inside, but keys and purse were missing.
Suspect Terry Rouse confessed to the murder, saying he shot her in the back of the head. Her remains were discovered in June 2024 at Rouse's home.
Rouse pleaded guilty and must serve at least half of his 40-year sentence before parole eligibility.
