A U.S. Navy base worker in Panama City, Florida, was attacked by a shark during his lunch break.

The 30-year-old civilian employee was swimming with a colleague when a shark suddenly attacked, injuring both arms.

Rescuers arrived quickly and provided first aid. The man is in serious condition and may be transferred to a specialized trauma center.

Base commander Tristan Oliveira confirmed the details, stating the base will provide full support to the victim and his family.
