A G1-level magnetic storm is currently being observed on Earth.

According to Oxu.Az citing TASS, the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Space Research Institute and the Siberian Branch of the Institute of Solar-Terrestrial Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences issued a statement.

"A G1-class magnetic storm has been recorded on Earth," the statement said.

It should be noted that G1 corresponds to a weak category magnetic storm.
