Malta will become the first country in the world to offer free "ChatGPT Plus" to all its citizens.

According to Oxu.Az, OpenAI has launched a national program called "AI for Everyone."

Under the agreement, Maltese residents can access a free one-year subscription to ChatGPT Plus after completing an AI training course.

The Digital Innovation Directorate of Malta will coordinate the project.

"Malta is the first country to launch a partnership of this scale. We will not leave our citizens behind in the digital age. We are putting our people at the forefront of global change," said Silvio Schembri, Malta's Minister for Economy, Enterprise, and Strategic Projects.

The program will also be available to Maltese citizens living abroad.
