US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated in an interview with NBC News that China has the world's second strongest army.
Rubio noted that China has strengthened its military at an unprecedented pace over the past decade, resulting in the second most powerful army globally.
"It is hard to ignore the rapid strengthening of this country's army. The Chinese leadership has ambitions to project power globally, similar to the US," Rubio said.
