US Secretary of State Marco Rubio congratulated the people of Azerbaijan on May 28 - Independence Day.

According to Oxu.Az, the congratulatory message was published on the official website of the US Department of State.

"Over the past year, we have elevated our relationship to the level of Strategic Partnership, resulting in the signing of the Strategic Partnership Charter in Baku by Vice President JD Vance and President Ilham Aliyev. We look forward to further developing our partnership by expanding regional ties, economic relations, and security cooperation. The United States welcomes Azerbaijan's commitment to lasting peace in the South Caucasus and looks forward to continuing our cooperation on these efforts. We look forward to deepening our partnership in the coming year and beyond," the message said.
