Acting US Director of National Intelligence Bill Pulti has launched large-scale layoffs.
CNN reports, citing its sources, that the process of removing "deep state" representatives has started.
President Donald Trump reportedly planned for Pulti to lay off hundreds of employees. Last week, Pulti requested the full staff list.
The largest cuts are expected at the National Counterterrorism Center and the National Counterintelligence and Security Center.
