Mercedes-Benz may exit the US market due to a bill targeting Chinese automakers.

According to Oxu.Az, CNBC reported the news.

A new bipartisan bill is being discussed in Congress. It would ban car imports, sales, and manufacturing in the US by companies with direct or indirect capital ties to foreign countries considered US rivals, especially China.

Such a move could restrict Mercedes sales in the US, as its largest shareholder is Chinese state-owned company BAIC (formerly Beijing Automotive Industrial).
