Residents of Massachusetts, USA, heard a loud explosion-like sound.

According to Oxu.Az, citing WCVB, witnesses reported a loud boom across the state around 2:00 PM local time.

Some residents also felt vibrations. The exact cause is not yet confirmed.

Meteorologist Pamela Gardner suggested the noise and vibration could be due to a meteorite exploding in the atmosphere.
