Russia's Institute of Applied Geophysics reported that solar activity will be low, but M-class flares are anticipated.
Flares are classified into five categories: A, B, C, M, X, based on X-ray strength. M class is moderate.
These flares may be accompanied by plasma emissions, reaching Earth and causing magnetic storms.
