A pet macaque monkey attacked and killed a 6-year-old child in Thailand, sparking outrage.
The male monkey named "Chok" was tied to a bamboo pole when it suddenly attacked the child playing in the yard.
The monkey bit the child and dragged him across the ground. Family members found the child unconscious in a pool of blood.
Despite being rushed to the hospital, the child died from severe injuries.
The mother said the monkey's long teeth pierced the child's lung, damaging vital organs. Neighbors reported the monkey had shown aggressive behavior before.
The family had no proper documents to keep the monkey as a pet. After the incident, the grandfather released the monkey into the jungle.
Police found the monkey on a tree and used tranquilizers to neutralize it due to its aggressive behavior.
