Moscow has received official notification from Yerevan that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will not attend the meeting of Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) leaders. The country will be represented at the event by Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan.
Oxu.Az reports, citing TASS, that Russian Foreign Ministry official Maria Zakharova announced this at a briefing.
"There have been cases before when representatives of member states did not participate in the work of the body for one reason or another. This is undesirable, but such cases occur for various reasons. However, the Armenian leader's non-participation in the union's events is becoming systematic. Nikol Pashinyan has created this in this area... Of course, there is no tragedy for the union itself; the issue lies only with Armenia itself," the diplomat said.
