Russian endocrinologist Victoria Sadovskaya has revealed the least healthy type of bread.
According to her, white bread, especially a loaf, is the most harmful. White bread contains almost no fiber, vitamins, or micronutrients. It does not provide a long-lasting feeling of fullness, which can lead to overeating and weight gain.
Moreover, white bread can cause bloating and digestive issues in people with irritable bowel syndrome.
The doctor considers bread enriched with seeds, nuts, and grains to be healthier, but emphasizes that they are high in calories and should be consumed in moderation.
