Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to secure control over up to 70% of the Gaza Strip.
According to AFP and Reuters, Netanyahu stated during a conference: "We initially controlled 50%, then captured 60%. My instruction is to approach 70%, let's start. We are tightening the noose on Hamas from all sides and will deal with the remnants."
When asked about full control of the enclave, the prime minister noted that work is ongoing in that direction.
