Israel's ruling Likud party has announced that its leader, current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, will run in the next parliamentary elections.
According to a statement on the party's X social media account, Netanyahu will stand as a candidate.
Parliamentary elections in Israel must be held no later than October 27, 2026, but the vote could take place earlier, in September or October.
