The Paris Mint has unveiled its first pure gold investment coin in a century, named 'Marianne'.
According to France's Le Monde newspaper, the coin features France's national symbol Marianne on one side and the country's map on the other.
The 'Marianne' coins will be produced in four different sizes and weights, all made from 999 fine gold.
Prices will be based on the current gold market rate. A digital version called 'e-Marianne' has also been released. Physical sales start June 16.
