Parliamentary elections have started in Armenia. At 08:00 local time (corresponding to Baku time), 2,500 polling stations opened across the country.
16 parties and 2 blocs are registered to participate. According to official data, 2.5 million citizens are eligible to vote. Under the new electoral code, no minimum turnout threshold is required, so the election will be valid regardless of voter activity.
Polling stations will close at 20:00. The Central Election Commission of Armenia will announce preliminary results the next day, and final results within seven days at the latest.
