A 7.8 magnitude earthquake in the southern Philippines has claimed 37 lives, up from 32.
According to GMA News, 456 people were injured, and four remain missing.
On Mindanao island, nearly 1,900 buildings were damaged, with about 1,500 completely destroyed.
The General Santos airport was damaged, allowing only military, government, and humanitarian flights. A state of emergency was declared in the city.
