An Airbus A220 passenger plane crashed while attempting to take off in Split, Croatia. The aircraft skidded off the runway and hit a fence.

The plane, operated by Croatia Airlines, was scheduled to fly to Frankfurt, Germany. However, it suddenly veered off the runway, crossed a grassy area, and hit an obstacle with its turbine, eventually coming to a complete stop.

There were 130 passengers and five crew members on board. No injuries were reported. Local media noted that the plane was only 11 months old. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
