Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin met in Beijing.
According to Russian media, as reported by Oxu.Az, Xi greeted Putin at Tiananmen Square. The leaders shook hands. The Russian leader was welcomed by a military guard and orchestra. The square was decorated with a red carpet.
During the meeting, Putin invited Xi to visit Russia in 2027 and called him his dear friend.
Vladimir Putin stated that the Russia-China negotiations were substantial and conducted on the basis of trust.
"We have just held substantive negotiations in a limited format on important issues of bilateral cooperation in an atmosphere of traditional friendship and trust. Now we will discuss them in a wider format," the Russian leader noted.
