Russian President Vladimir Putin began an official visit to China on May 19. He will meet with Chinese leader Xi Jinping during a two-day stay in Beijing.
The visit marks the 25th anniversary of the Russia-China friendship treaty. Putin will hold talks both one-on-one and in expanded format. Key international issues will be discussed over tea.
About 40 documents are expected to be signed during the visit. Putin will also meet with Chinese Premier Li Qiang on trade and economic matters.
Five deputy prime ministers, eight ministers, and representatives of major businesses are accompanying the Russian president.
